Hoffer Plastics is a family-owned custom injection molding manufacturer founded in 1953 and headquartered in South Elgin, Illinois. Despite being a respected industry leader, their digital presence no longer reflected the scale and sophistication of their operations.
The Challenge
Redesign a complex manufacturing website to better serve engineers, procurement teams, brand owners, and prospective employees — while modernizing the brand experience and improving navigation across a deep content structure.
My Role
This project was a collaboration between Zealth Digital Marketing (my team) and Allegro Design. I led all Figma design work and helped establish the page template structure and information architecture. Allegro organized the content from the existing site, updated copy, and managed client communications.
Phase 1
Discovery & IA
I worked alongside Allegro to define page templates, map user journeys, and organize a large content set into a navigable structure covering capabilities, industries, proprietary products, sustainability, and company history.
Phase 2
Visual Design
I designed all pages in Figma, establishing a clean, modern visual system that balances Hoffer’s precision manufacturing identity with their approachable, family-owned culture.
Design work included:
Visual direction and layout system
Page templates for capabilities, industries, products, and editorial content
Mobile and desktop responsive layouts
Design handoff for WordPress/ACF development
